Abstract:Sogatella furcifera (Horváth) is an important migratory pest on rice in Guizhou, resulted in serious damage in recent years. In order to define the source aeras of early immigrant white-backed planthoppers (WBPH) in Guizhou, the analysis of push-back trajectory of white-backed planthoppers was conducted by HYSPLIT,a trajectory analysis software for the simulation of migration pathways, and light trap catch data from six survey station of Guizhou, including Libo, Tianzhu, Wangmo, Huishui, Congjiang and Jinping in 2011. The results showed that: (1) In Guizhou in 2011, peaks of white-backed planthoppers immigrated in beginning and middle of May, the peak period of immigration were concentrated in June; (2) The source aera of the early immigration population of white-backed planthoppers of Guizhou in 2011 were from Red River Delta of Vietnam, south-central of Guangxi, Southeast of Guangxi and Guangdong border; the results of the research provided a reference for further exploration of source regions and migratory routes of WBPH in Karst region of China.
