Abstract:
In order to study the effect of heavy elements pollution in environment upon the animals, wing samples of butterflies from copper mine of Langya Mountain in Anhui Province were heavyelements-analyzed with SR X-ray fluorescence (SR-XRF). The result showed that Hg and Pb were abundant in butterflies. The ratio of Cu/Zn were strongly correlated to the level of pollution in the environment. Compared with general method to measure heavy elements in the animal, SR-XRF is more sensitively and more conveniently for treatment of the sample.
