Indicator Value (IndVal) method and its application

Abstract： The Indicator Value (IndVal) method, developed by Dufrêne and Legendre in 1997, is the most significant methodological advance in bioindication but is not commonly used in China. This paper describes how to calculate Indicator Values with R language software, the application of the IndVal method to insect indicators, and how to identify and test bioindicators with the IndVal method.
